Humanity from Our Past into the Future

Since 1992 Erie Gay News has documented the culture, events, and stories of LGBTQIA+ life in the Northwest Pennsylvania region. Now we’re expanding our reach with more involvement.

Chronicling events and activities help us inform others of what is happening, what took place, and how to make connect with friends and connecting with yet-to-be friends.

Being a family means we lift up others in need. Bringing our community together helps improves the lives of our siblings, cousins, and beyond.

Forward Momentum

The Erie queer community came together to make history on October 11 and celebrate the 30th anniversary of Erie’s first Family Photo, held each year in honor of National Coming Out Day. What began in 1995 with just 32 people has grown into a beloved tradition that embodies visibility, connection, and pride. Original photo members returned to honor the passage of three decades of life experiences.
